Hey Evelyn,
I absolutely agree with your perspectives of Owen’s work, believing them to be, similarly to you, revealing of the devastation of wars. Furthermore, I believe they strongly reflect his complete abhorrence for the death and destruction that faced the youthful soldiers. Addressing and relating these to modern society was quite poignant and absolutely vital with Owen’s work. The only criticism I can provide is there are some sentences that felt a bit short and perhaps needed to be expanded upon such as “your realism still takes effect on people today.”. Perhaps expanding this sentence a bit more would have provided the opportunity to explain the effect on it has or how it effects people. Aside from this small critique, I thought this was a great post!
